Project Updates

In the first quarter, the team successfully completed Pilot Study 1, focusing on site exploration, stakeholder engagement, and pre-testing of research tools in the villages of Musoma and Rukala.

  • Key findings revealed the lack of dams, poor infrastructure, and community concerns that dam extensions could worsen flooding in Rukala, guiding the refinement of research tools for Pilot Study 2.

  • The project adhered to ethical standards, secured NACOSTI approval, and established a foundation for comprehensive data collection in the second quarter.
